Printer paper

I ran out of paper, for the first time ever, since I brought home the big business-size Dell copier, free from work. All this time, I have been printing from paper that had been in the paper tray already when I brought it home.

Tonight, I was pleased to see a window appear that told me the Dell was out of paper (in the middle of printing a document). I had never even looked at the paper tray (it reminds me of a copier in the library or an office, with room for an entire ream of paper, instead of the hand-grab of paper that works for some desk-top models).

I opened my paper, put it in, and the machine went through a getting-ready routine, after which it finished the document. Well done!

I looked at the package of paper:

Boise
X-9
MULTI-USE COPY PAPER

20 weight, 92 brightness

Hmmmm. Multi-use?

It would seem to me that, after you'd printed on both sides, it would be hard to read any more prints on it than that. . .greengrin

I haven't yet learned if there is another paper tray, with a different size paper. My WP s are all set to 8.5 x 11. A big boy printer like this might have a legal size tray, or even a greater size for something like poster-size printing.

Multi use on paper over here usually means it can be used in either/both Laser and InkJet printers, Scholar, as well as in photocopiers.

Some paper tends to curl with heat so isn't suitable for some photocopiers. And the china clay content can affect how the ink/toner sticks.
