Drone Photo Of Abandoned Bikes In China

The explanation of how all this came to be is readily available via the usual search engines for anyone who wonders about this 'phenomena'.

I posted this simply because of the scale of the problem and the resultant photographic aesthics.

China may do somethings very well, but obviously not bike 'management' which ultimately reflects on at least one govt agency being quick and agile re problem solving. And how does this reflect on the populace where this occurs--I would like to offer the thesis that the populace expects the govt, not themselves, 'to deal with it'--Same old, same old across the planet.

And YES, those are only bikes in the embedded image, AND YES, it is just one of numerous such "sites".

"over 1.5 million bikes in Shanghai alone" from one media site--so who's counting. Now if this were England, it would be required as per "They had to count them all. Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall". For some reason, never having been in England, way back then, when this song came out, for unknown reasons, those words resonated as 'typically English values'--well at least the Beatles thought so too.

For historians on this site, the URL is for a 'replay' of the back and forth acrimony between the Beatles and the Albert Hall management way back when:

Did you know they have a multi-story bike park in Amsterdam?
