Christian software and information resources

In another thread, I mentioned that I would hope the economy of e-books (saving the paper, type, and binding costs of producing good paper books) would bring down the costs of study resources. Printed books of Greek and Hebrew resources are very expensive. But, since I already have a personal library, I have not sought out such resources in the manner that a new student would.

Here is an assortment of Logos brand resources. "Start your journey toward advanced Bible study" is the label for the $999.99 package of resources. "Enjoy studying with an academic-level library" is $2149.99. "Find centuries of scholarship at your fingertips" for $10,799.99. (This one has 5,132 resources in the package.)

I am sure that the total investment is much less than bound books would cost. But, I wonder--is it really a good deal? Does it include all the key resources one would wish? Or, does it have big holes in it, missing modern standard works that would not sign a deal to allow themselves to be sold in a Logos library? I have no doubt that it includes many good older works that are now in the public domain.

I would love to receive it as some kind "lifetime service award." greengrin

He does, Mary. I already have many of those resources via the e-sword app. And what's more, it is free!

You may still need to purchase some titles, but I have yet to find that I've needed something that I don't already have.
