Trumpery

Trumpery is a Middle English word that describes something that is showy but worthless.

On sale for about $25.00 dollars American (NO! Not a typo-$25 for a coffee cup; something right out of Middle English Highwayman robber).

If England can have 'the king can do no wrong', why can't we have a president that can do no wrong??? Avert the eyes (which for some reason doesn't show up very well in Google, but I know for sure that I've seen it in a movie, but maybe it was a French king, AND we all know about the French (AKA Normans) don't we! They invaded 'fair & square', and apparently carried the day, and continue to hold sway right up till now it seems-not that I expect any English person to admit that. En Garde!
