Grid lock is coming, grid lock is coming...

My local shopping centre Silverburn made the mistake of hosting the Coca Cola truck which has led to grid lock and folk waiting 2 hours to leave the car park.

Bad for business all round

Explain what?

Some folk think the Coca Cola truck worth visiting as a pre-Christmas tradition. The Silverburn shopping centre has various open and one multi-storey car park. The folk trying to leave the car parks found one of their exit routes blocked by re-routed cars due to the amount of space required for the coca cola truck and periphery stalls.

Instead of cancelling the "Holidays are coming" truck event, the Silverburn staff thought it was okay to force people to wait in queues for 3 hours. The Coca Cola truck incident will now mean lots of people will now avoid Silverburn and the drink because of the badly handled circumstances.

The on-site security wanted to turn the "up ramp" into a "down ramp" to clear the route but were prevented from doing so by the site owners. The Police refused to get involved as it is a commercial site. If anyone had become unwell they would not have been able to get emergency vehicles in and out.
