Tonight's Brain Teaser

How many hexagons can you create by connecting the dots in the embedded image? Don't assume that there is more than one possibility, OR for that matter, there is even one possibility!

Talking about brain teasers. The BBC Radio 4 Today Programme has been running a daily brain teaser. I worked this morning's one out straight away - which is quite a nice change.

Basically, you have seven bars of gold one of which is fake and weighs less than the others. You also have a balance scale but you can only use it twice. How do you find the fake?

Three on each side for the first weigh in
if the same the one you haven't weighed is the fake.
If not the same take the lighter side group and weigh two...you get the idea...

As to Jack's - I would do that with pens on paper but it is annoying to look at on a laptop. I suppose I could use MSpaint...
