taps on

I have a hot water tap in the bathroom (with a lever rather than a traditional turn kind) that is turning itself on from time to time. The last time was a couple of days ago in the middle of the night.

If its just hot water, it will be a side to side thing. Is there something leaning against the lever? Or falling on it? The whole point of them is that they are easy to turn on and off.
