Word of God--an Ecumenical, Charismatic Community in Ann Arbor

This site has posts of some of the experiences of the members of this community.

Read a little, if you like, and you can get a feel for the people who felt they benefited from their experience at Word of God. People actually lived on a sort of community campus. They studied, worshipped, ate, and sang together. I remember the beauty of their music. When they spoke in tongues, they sounded like a thousand small bells ringing together, but with human voice--it was truly beautiful, in a way I did not imagine.

We found that one of the best experiences of our lives were in Bible College, immersed in it for a time. Tongues can be off putting, if not used appropriately. It is why there is so little emphasis on it in the New Testament. And what there is, only explains how it should be used. Certainly it is no pre-requisite for salvation, as some might claim.
