Used Crucifix

I bought a hang-on-the-wall style crucifix at a rummage sale. One of the tiny nails which had been through the hand of the corpus had been lost at some point, and the previous owner had replaced it with an upholstery tack. I bought it, intending to replace the tiny nail before displaying it.

My dear wife does not come from a home that displayed crucifixes, so she is inexperienced.with them. She found it, and put it up on the wall. I did not look closely so as to notice it still has the tack.

It looks as if Jesus were crucified holding a soccer ball (or, most here would say football) shocked_yellow.

I'm sure there are many football fans here (Soccer fans there) who are quite used to the feeling of being crucified.

Brings to mind a Haywood Banks tune.

I won't post it as some people react badly to it's poking fun at religion.
