Dean Koontz's Frankenstein

What if Shelley's Frankenstein was based on a true story?
What if Frankenstein's creation had survived to modern times, without aging?

What if Victor Frankenstein had found a way to adapt the animation methods he had used, to energize himself, so that he did not age and had boundless energy? What if he continued to fabricate people, improving his methods decade by decade, so that his newer creations had strength, stamina, and healing abilities beyond normal mortals?

These are some of the ideas in Koontz's Frankenstein, of which I have read the first volume. This is a novelized version of part of a television series which did not go into production.

When I read Koontz, I am blessedly aware of the fact that, unlike Dan Brown, Koontz writes well and knows the meaning of the words he uses.:P:P:P:P I enjoy Dan Brown's books, but I appreciate that Koontz writes novels that are not only popular, but also good writing.

Do we have any Koontz fans here? Besides the Frankenstein series, what would you reoommend to me? (I like science fiction. Horror, not so much.)
