Downloaded Thunderbird....

Its now keps downloading over 7,000 e-mails from the T place. I keep trying to delete them but they keep coming back.
Add to that I have had an e-mail from the "T" people telling me my e-mail has been stopped because of an overfull box.

Any idea how I can get rid of these? (Some are damn near pornographic) Avast is going bananas blocking stuff lol.

Try going to the Tiscali website, click on ' my mail ' - log in and you should be able to delete the emails, but please note that they currently faffing about with things so it might not work.

BTW - their spam filter is supposed to get rid of all junk mail, so perhaps that's not working properly.

Oh, don't bother to complain to the forum administrator, she's got enough problems as it is.

It's no use asking any of the mods, most of them have been sacked. shocked_yellow

I don't use Tbird, but usually in the email account properties. (pop3.tiscali.co.uk, smtp.blah, dot@t.com, etc) there is usually a check box to delete or keep old mails off/on the server, and an option of setting an expiry period. (3 days, 31 days etc)

Personally, I'd keep at least 7 days worth of mails on their server, just in case you were to run in to any issues, and they would then still be backed up and reachable on the T mail server.

(A wise man once taught me this lesson, after I had cocked up, back in my L1 days.) Guess who! :)
