MAC code

Yesterday, finally fed up with consistent speeds of around 0.5mbps I phoned for my MAC code to migrate. To give the ISP their due they were very polite and have sent the info by text/e-mail/telephone call this morning and apparently by letter as well all in under 24 hours.

Today I did another speed test just to see and the speeds have risen again to 2.3 mbps. Too bad it takes an intention to move to another provider to get the speed issues resolved on even a temporary basis. The MK told me the issue was not the ISP but the evidence doesn't seem to support that.

Have you ever migrated?

Did it go smoothly?

Not here.

Cable fan myself, you can't beat it. I'd hate to have to go back to BT line based services.

I started off with AOL and those cheap dialup offers before them, (some free for a while etc) then got fed up with the speed of dialup, and the hell of AOL's software.

Moved to what was to become Telewest/VirginMedia, and have never had any issues with their services.

I've looked at Sky a few times, but Virgin'll do me.
