Here's a change -- PREVENTIVE maintainence questions!

One: Where on the MS site do you get the recovery console for XP?

Two: Anyone here use Kaspersky AntiVirus 2009? I'm not feeling confident in the AV that came with System Suite 9 after Spybot found 69 nasties on a sweep the other night. Trend allowed whatever whacked my computer in to do its deed, so it's out. I need something that has a 3-license version, preferably. From my research, Kaspersky seems to fit the bill.

If you can make a strong case for another AV, please do so.

You don't. You boot from the install CD and access it, from there.

Saves "File is in use" problems.

Avira. It's free and it's the mutt's nuts.
