Tool bars

I was just over on the virus help thread looking at EpheMeroN's hijackthis log and notice the fact the PC is running numerous toolbars, Yahoo, Google ect.

My self I run no toolbars as I feel they would only be a draw on PC resources. I have seen some posts in the past where Google toolbar causes problems in some cases.

Since I have never installed or run tool bars, what is the advantage of having one and what are the disadvantages of running multiple bars? What are peoples good experiences and what bad experiences have you had?waveysmiley

Personally, I avoid all of them, like the plague.

But, then, I run a proper browser. :D

As Katzy said, I use Opera and it has all the features that most browser bars have or that I ever need.

Browsers had their place when IE was rubbish but these days there is little point.

It's also a advertising engine/tracker for most companies and often a vector for virii attacks.
