SOMEONE fed it after midnight!

Someone obviously fed this AMC Gremlin after midnight before they entered it in the Merrill Ice Drags! Don't laugh, it beat a pair of Chevy Impalas to take it's class!

After shooting these Ice Drags over four years, I've learned how to shoot them on days when the air temp is +1 and wind chil is -35.

Layers, lots and lots of LAYERS!

Including layered gloves!

I had a thin pair of brown jersey gloves on (with chemical hand warmer packet inside) that I wore UNDER my good thinsulate ski gloves.

For my feet, pair regular socks worn under TWO pairs of thermal socks then my thinsulate hiking boots.

On my legs, pair of thermal long johns, thick jeans then bib snow mobile pants.

On my chest, t-shirt, thermal long john top, hooded fleece sweatshirt, heavy ski jacket.

On my head/face I had my fleece drawstring hood then my sweatshirt hood.

Toes got a little cold after 2 1/2 hours but I've learned that the chemical footwarmer things don't work that well.

And the secret to the cars going over 100 mph in an 1/8th of a mile?

Dry Wall Screws!

I'm not designed for the freezing cold. I'm much more of a hot chocolate in front of the log fire kind of a girl.
