See if you can figure this out

On one of my TV,s I have connected to it a set top box, this is to enable me to watch football that is sometimes scrambled,
now the forum that deals with this stuff puts a patch on which is to keep your box updated, this patch is always zipped.
Now on my old computor when I unzip this patch it puts an icon of a yelow circle with a smiling face in the centre, but on my new computor it puts a brown floder instead,
the forums say you should be able to see the smiling face icon after unzipping instead of folder, although when I run my mouse over the folder it say's it has the patch inside,
I then put onto a pen drive and load it to my box.
My question is,why do I now get a folder and will it do the same job?

will it do the job???????????? theoretically yes but knowing your luck is as bad as mine i think it is 50/50.

just double click or right click then unzip from within the small window and run it and see whether it works or not.
