Do you shop at (1) shops?

You know what I'm talking about?

eg: Here

Shops like Poundland and Poundshop, etc.. are becoming a real moneyspinner and when I pop in there, the shops are usually heaving.

I was horrified shocked_yellow when I popped into B&Q recently to buy some chain and it was abou 2.66 a metre and I decided on four metres which came to just over 10. then I bought a couple of Padlocks at 1 each for them (thank god) as they would have been much dearer at the likes of B&Q - so basically, I had spent over 12

My intention was to have two chains for two bicycles. But I was browsing through the Poundshop yesterday and what do I see?

Well, Bike chains (with locks) at a 1 each and even Bike lights for a 1 - the list seems to be endless to what you can purchase at a 1

I guess in America, they have them and call them $2 shops huh?

and Australia would be A$3

How much shopping do you do there? Do you really look?

I don't go to Poundland etc but the daughter of my friend has her Saturday job there to pay her way through Uni. They serve a purpose but the crowds would put me off, just like Primark.

I buy the batteries for my mp3 player from a pound shop...

12 AAA Alkaline's for a 1 ... keeps me in music for a while. :)
