car park + prescription charges

Free parking at hospitals in Wales

Free prescriptions in Wales

Prescription charges in Scotland

My question is, if "they"( no offence intended ) can cut/slash prices, why can't England? Our prescription charge is 6.85(April 2007) BMA Funding_prescription charges

It's been controversial here too though. Some hospitals charge for parking and some patients pay for prescriptions.

I think that if you're a genuine patient or visitor you shouldn't pay for parking. This could be checked out by validating the parking ticket before you leave. Charges have been brought in up here for parking because so many people use it for commuting rather than visiting.

As to prescription charges, paying if you can afford it seems fair to me.
