CRC error

I'm trying to back up one of my DVD's DVD shrink swears at me, so I thought, I'd cheat and copy the files to a temp folder, first. I find that VTS_05_1. VOB reports a data error, (cyclic redundancy check).

From myunderstanding of DVD files, I thought that there was redundancy built in in the guise of BUP files, except I can;t find one for this. I've done the"clean the disk" thng to the point, I may actually start scratching it if I clean any more, Can anyone suggest a way to copy this "damaged" file?

BadCopyPro, if you can get it.

Or, Blindwrite.

Slow the speed down...

BadCopyPro works well, but there are other solutions that work too.

Though personally, I've found the best recovery method to be this...

It is an initial outlay, but IMHO, it's been worth the money in recovered discs alone...
