Saturday Morning Music

I'm not sure this is the right place for this but in the absence of a music forum......

One of my 'must listen to' programmes is Sounds of the Sixties on BBC Radio 2 at 8.00-10.00am on Saturday mornings. Hits and rarities presented by Brian Matthew in a quiet and understated manner that hasn't changed much since he presented pop programmes in the 60s.
He's just played the Mugwumps (Mama Cass' band before the Mamas and the Papas).

Now it's the Beatles' 'Maggie Mae' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzT-oTAV7lc

Followed by Dionne Warwick singing Burt Bacharach's 'Never get to heaven' : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzpxjbLMMHg

I tend not to listen to the radio in the house, preferring to work in a quiet atmosphere Simon but I can understand why music from your youth holds a special appeal.

The only time that the radio is on is when I'm driving alone, then it's typically news radio. I am currently listening to a pile of Pink Floyd stuff while I am working on my rumpus room, but, when that runs out, it'll probably be something like Deep Purple, Led Zep, or I might load some classical music, not sure yet.
