PC problem...know the answer ?
I know the answer, but having an idle moment, I wonder if others do ?
A friend I built a PC for a couple of years ago reported that she had problems on her return from a four week trip to Australia.
It wouldn't boot into windows XP properly and maybe get as far as the desktop and then just auto reboot.
The windows loading screen (the rectangular progress blobs) were jerky and a bit corrupted.
If it did manage to get as far as the desktop, her PS2 mouse wouldn't work all the time.
She could get it going to the desktop in safe mode, but found her PS2 mouse wouldn't work so there was not any point doing anything else but trying a
Sometimes it wouldn't switch on long enough to try and start up.
She has two meeces........an MS battery USB wireless one (quite new) and an older PS2 ball mouse........I think the MS one is faulty anyway, but
nothing at all wrong with the old PS2 mouse.......apart from being a bit krappie
All in all, it was pretty hopeless, and caused her to say words she would not normally say
Passive AGP video card.......Nvidia probably...I forget.
Tagan 380W PSU.
That's about it..........who can name the problem in one ?
