It seems cash is no longer king.

It appears that BT are to levy a charge on customers who pay their bill by cash or cheque.

The charge will be 4.50. As told here .

What do you do if (like 1,000's of people) you don't have a bank account?

Bad idea. But everyone seems to be doing it.
Most of my bills are direct debit now. Didn't really have a choice, that was the cheapest...:(

I do DDs for everything for the same reason. We will be a cashless society eventually.
