I'm sure Scholar, our resident CHRISTIAN, Would have no problem with what the Congressman from Texas proposes.
McCaul's proposal is stupid, on a couple of levels. One that is obvious: the U.S. Congress does not have the authority to build facilities in other
countries. The emotional term "warehouse" is appropriate, unfortunately, because the U.S. southern border is being overrun by tens of thousands of
minors, and any facilities built by the U.S. government will have the function of being places to temporarily hold large numbers of youth who are
exceeding available resources.
This writer is untrue when he says President Obama "caused" this disaster (and, with the many people dying as they tried to get here, and suffering even if they made it, and being recruited into violent criminal gangs, it is indeed a disaster). The young people are being sent because of the horrible conditions in their native countries and the hope of a better life in the U.S. But, President Obama's decision not to secure the border is the sina qua non for the large numbers which are now coming, because they would not come in these large numbers if they did not expect to get into the U.S. and find a better life, which would not be the case if they were blocked from entering.
Still not condemning the practice.
Noticed that too.
