Priddy budgie! I'll have to post some of my own when I get around to it. I got a good close up of a Swan on the River Torrens when I was in the city recently. Did not realise that the grass I was kneeling on was covered in bird crap! LOL, green stains on my Jeans, good thing they were work jeans and not my best ones.
Things that WILL make me stand the vehicle on it's nose and pull to the side of the road...

Feeding time at an osprey nest.
Male osprey will tolerate you looking at the nest as long as you stay in your vehicle.
Get out of said vehicle and you WILL get an earful.

About the only advantage to finishing my workday late in the evening is every once in a while I'm rewarded with an AWESOME sunset.
Canon 40D with 18-55mm lens at 18 mm !SO 640, 1/320 at f4, for those keeping score at home.
Driving through Minocqua yesterday evening around 8:30 p.m. and I found this Great Blue Heron "Sitting On The Dock of the Bay"
HAD to double back and sneak up on it to get this image.
(I'm still pretty stealthy when I wanna be for an old guy)

The very next day, I was on my way to lunch when I spotted this fellow on a different dock right by the road.

Used my van as a blind (or hide, as the English like to call them) but he didn't like the tune on the radio and called a quick end to the photo shoot.

I'm glad he didn't like the radio, the second piccie is great. Pity about the background.
Saw this guy AGAIN at the same stretch of docks the day after the above shots. He was standing in the street with a HUGE bluegill in his bill. Had a
hard time taking off with it.
1) My windshield was filthy from bugs from my drive up
2) Had the wide angle lens on my camera as I was coming back from a shoot.
Another Monday evening covering Snowshoe Baseball in Lake Tomahawk results in me catching another spectacular Northwoods Sunset on the way home.

I like that one.
