excuse me, I had always thought C.C. DeVille was English.
Turns out he was born in Brooklyn.
Who'd have thunk THAT?

Dang, still no Englishmen in my photos!
How about settling for a couple members of Trixter, instead?

What can I say?
Did the best I could with their dark stage lighting.

Redwolf, my favorite living Englishman is the Bear.
Thanks for that RW, I'm back on dial up for a while, so I also appreciate your consideration. Now, my favourite living Pommie? Either Patrick Stewart or Shaun Connery. Probably Paddy.
Well, in addition to a hold on further work until the paper is out this week I was also contacted by the media relations guy at Rockfest yesterday.
Seems they have a problem with the Photoreflect galleries because it APPEARS that I am selling prints of my work.
In the three years I've been using the site, I have yet to sell a single print. The prices HAVE to be part of the gallery in order for it to publish.
So any further work is on hold while Jackie and I find 10 good samples of my work (editorial and entertainment) to submit to Photoshelter to see if we are accepted for their service.
This would be a plus for us in the long run as Photoshelter is the "go to" service most magazine art directors use to look for work to license. It gets us out of the print sales business online (which we aren't making zip on, anyway) and gets us into stock photography, where the real money is. The security seems to be as good as Photoreflect, so I'm breathing easier there, too.
So Rockfest may be doing us a favor once everything shakes out and we get the work transfered.
Downside is it will probably cost us a monthly fee to be in the Photoshelter collection. However, one sale to a publication would more than cover that. We control the license fees so we can allow for their 30 percent cut of any sales, too.
Meanwhile, we have GOT to start working on a website and get it online by the end of August.
