Something beginning with "T" ??
That was easy!
'course, just coz idiot-knickers says something IS, doesn't mean that it REALLY is.
As we've noticed, many times before.
I'm past despair, where he's concerned. I joined Twatter, just to troll him.
Each and every one of us on this entire planet lives in a geographical place that was stolen by violence/war multiple times over. The operative phrase is that it was stolen 'fair and square'. No one, as individuals/society/nation state who lives where they are now is about to 'move' since there is now zero uninhabited land left on this planet (that can support life). Whatever Mr T is guilty of, he has an entire planet of co-conspirators who are equally culpable. Military victors fell that they have earned the 'right' to thumb their noses at everyone else, at least as long until the next war challenges their domination. So it goes for homo sapiens.
And as long as there are "leaders" who support financially and on the world's stage those who steal the lands of others, it will ever be thus. POTUS is still a maroon.
I'm not sure that's entirely correct, Leigh. I think the British (Balfour?) had a big say, in that, and we handled it as we always did, back then.
Heavy-handedly and looking at our own interests, not anyone else's.
I have a feeling that this cr@p will continue, until one side destroys the other, sadly.
How many of you are aware that the last three office-holders of the presidency each declared that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel, but took no
action to match their words?
This page has a video clip in which you can hear each of them, in their own words.
Are you aware that a U.S. law was passed in 1995 which required the U.S. State Department to move the embassy to Jerusalem?
After all these years, Trump is finally following the law on this point.
I don't think that enemies of Israel who have advocated their annihilation will became less friendly because the U.S. is willing to accept Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. It's not as if shooting rockets into Israel was an expression of affection and willingness to live side-by-side in peace.
It's not their country, nor yours to decide about either. It is land stolen from the Arabs. The blood spilled is on the hands of those who perpetuate and support that theft. One man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. Moshe Dayan was a terrorist to those who lived in the area. Just because he won the battle doesn't negate the fact it wasn't his land to begin with.
They haven't stuck to the land they were given though, have they? They have over the past 60 years gradually taken away more and more from their Arab neighbours. If America didn't fund their governments and back them up every time they stole another track of land the arguments could have been resolved decades ago.
The land that they occupied has been land that they "won" in wars started by those who wanted to wipe Israel off the map.
We could continue around in circles, let us agree to disagree, and leave it at that.
Actually, if my recollection of history and the Balfour agreement is correct, it was Britain that "gave" Palestine to the Jews. This was following
a terrorist campaign by the Zionists who, at the time, were every bit as bad as your militant Muslims today or the IRA back in the 70s.
The Balfour Declaration Nov 1917) proposed allocating a limited amount of land to the new land of Israel, but with safeguards for the majority Palestinian population:-
