There are various theories about why we need to sleep and how much sleep we actually need.
Culturally we tend to go for one sleep now but historically we used to have a pattern of two sleeps with a break in the middle.

Sleep, It all depends. I'm tired. I go to bed. I wake up usually because I have to. Typically I, probably average about 7 hours in a day.
Midnight-1pm 'till 8am on a work day.
About 1.30pm-9.30am on a day off.
I don't like a big lie-in anymore.
