Oh, I don't know, though... From what little I've seen, of these so-called "Reality" shows, the participants need shooting...

Have you seen American "reality" shows? Wing nuts would be a kind description of some of the participants. :D

I have not figured out the definition of the term "reality" as used in most of these shows. My definition runs from hardly believable to absurd.

What got me about the op was the fact of going to a war zone to film a show. I don't want to go there with a gun to fight non the less to run around without a helmet. waveysmiley

I can sort of understand what the intent of the show might be as the Australian Public, as, I suspect, are members of many "safe" havens, are fed up with queue jumpers arriving unannounced and expecting to be settled and given a hand out upon arrival. I suspect that SBS was attempting to impress upon people the reason these people do this. The problem is not so much as people who are refugees from war/persecution, but those who use it as an excuse for financial gain, "economic refugees" if you will. The show might be better presented as a documentary following a genuine refugee family (bloody hard to find, given their situation, though) and what they must do to get to safety.

As a "reality show" along the lines of "Big Brother", NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS, should they try this!!!!
