It sounds like some of the poorer losers want to bask in the glory of the better nations. I somehow don't hink that either GB or Germany will be too enamoured with that concept. Tell those French so and soes to get of their derriers and win some medals of their own!

One would assume that it wouldn't be just Team GB, it'd be all the EU states?

I can't imagine it'll ever get off the ground.

Are we to have NO national pride at all?

I am not into sport - but even I am outraged by these two suggestions. What do the rest of you think ?

Apparently some daft group calling itself "Young European Federalists" apparently - based in Brussels. They say it would help to 'combat nationalism'. Oh - and the EU Anthem would replace God Save the Queen at medal presentations !
