I'm with Daz, Mary, is it just the 'net, or the 'puter too?

If it's just the 'net then an "Ipconfig /flushDNS" may work. if you've tried the obvious, i.e. history, cookies and such.

If its been running okay for awhile then slowed down maybe a save everything you deem necessary to DVd disc and do a reformat and new install
works wonders for computers that have started creaking
I hope you have a full system disc ? jmb

Bit confused here, sorry... Is it t'internet that's affected, or the entire lappy...?

What firewall, if any?

What anti malware apps?

How much disk space left and how much RAM. (XP?)

I've tried deleting tmp files and cookies but everything is still running slowly.

Did you try deleting cookies as Q suggests? I found that worked for me some time back.

I'm on the PC. The lappy is running so slowly that I can't do a speed test but as the PC is fine the problem is not the BB connection. I keep getting error codes on msn and pages such as tiscali load with x where avatars should be for a long time.

I can't install firefox due the same slow speeds either.confused2

Clear cookies and history?
Try another browser like Firefox?

If you are on broadband check the speed of your connection.

System restore?

Edit-you've already done that...

My laptop, where I usually post from, is running slowly since last night. So slowly in fact that even opening up a KF page is nigh on impossible. Most requests for anything other than the google homepage end up as IE can't display the webpage.

I've tried:
* switching the router on/off
* rebooting
* uninstalling the latest Window's update from Friday using system restore
* uninstalling Norton

MSN isn't working on the laptop at all. The basic connectivity test has worked though.

Suggestions on a postcard?
