temps may be in the range
Operating 32° F to 140° F (-0° C to 60° C)
Non-operating -40° F to 158° F (-40° C to 70° C)
from the specs on one of the drives, not all will be identical.

Really wasn't sure if I should put this in PC Help, as it's actually for my car. Basically, over the summer I put a new amplifier in my car, and
mounted a hard drive into the console as well. The drive managed to sustain being in a closed up car at 92 F one day in the summer, but I'm now
trying to figure out how much damage it could cause if I leave it in the bitter cold of winter (it can get down to -15 F easily here).
What would the safe operating temperature be for an external hard drive. It's a western digital passport - but I couldn't tell you the model to
save my life.
