Teasing any animal is not a good idea nor is leaving a baby with an animal but you get some very low IQ owners who seem surprised when their child is attacked.

I'm with Nim. I've known dogs to try and 'protect' from all sorts of things including lawn mowers and brush cutters.

I hope this will play for those in other countries. If you have to find it on another site, poodle protects baby is the descriptive phrase in the video title.
