He seems more... er... human, somehow. A bit like our Jeremy.

And yet he's been part of the system for a long time so I'm not sure that he is offering anything radical. He's still establishment no matter how he paints himself.

Bernie seems the best chap, to me.

No third term options in the US, but there's always Bernie.

If TTIP goes ahead, we're screwed.

There is a conspiracy theory doing the rounds that "big business" is manipulating things to discredit the Presidency layer of American society so that there will only be the Senate and Congress which, as you must have realised by now, are much easier to lobby/control on an individual basis.

If Trump is the Republican candidate, he will surely lose in a landslide, which would speak well for democracy--the people would see him for what he is.

But, it is sad that the Democrat party is not nominating a better candidate. I think this is partly because of recent Republican successes in the states and Senate. With fewer Democrat Senators and governors from which to draw, there are not as many experienced, attractive choices.

Democrat Vice-President Joe Biden decided not to run as a personal choice. He has been wrong on many foreign policy issues, but I do think he is a man of personal integrity.kewl_glasses

It all depends upon your viewpoint, Jack. As far as I am concerned it's supposed to be Autumn yet we haven't seen much in the way of Autumn leaves yet.

If the current Yank and British campaigns have proven anything, it's that democracy is a stiff.

Bring on communism! (Not what Mao and Stalin did. I mean the real thing).
