The story includes pictures of the bodies of the animals. I would imagine the impact is devastating.

If you didn't know--a flying fox is a kind of bat. You can see why they'd be named that when you look at the face.

There is also a problem with turtles. Global warming has caused an imbalance in the sexes with more female than male turtles being hatched. There is a plan to provide shelter from the heat on the relevant beaches by providing turtle tents. No kidding!

It's called natural selection. FWIW those little "foxes" are a huge problem. THey make a hell of a noise, they drop lots of very acidic poo all over everything (cars do not like it at all) and they can strip a tree of fruit in very short order. Unfortunately their natural predators are not as common as the bats.
