Unexpected day off
We had an unexpected day off today after I had to send pupils and staff home. A water pipe had been damaged in town due to roadworks which in turn had
forced us to need boiler repairs and the toilets wouldn't flush. As a union rep my obligation was to keep everyone safe. As a member of senior
management it was a headache to send everyone home. I am not sure who had the greatest happiness, the pupils or the teachers and other staff.

As Plan B, at least at home, for a toilet not working, is to simply pour a bucket of water into the toilet, and the toilet will do the job for which
it was made. And IF, you have to do that a number of times, you/whoever has the chore will probably find that there is no longer any need to visit
the gym (and as an added bonus, the residents of the household can play a guessing game as to just how much a full bucket of water can weigh; AND GAME
B: who in the household can pour the bucket into the toilet without getting ANY water on the floor--a suitable prize helps ensure compliance).
