Lovely isn't it?

I've just got back from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Comedian Top Joe is trying to get his new word into the Oxford English Dictionary.

I love the Fringe more than the festival. I haven't been there yet. Did you catch Sam Lake? He's a friend of my daughter's.

I didn't catch Sam Lake no :(

We crammed in as many "Free Fringe" shows as we could and tried to catch as many paid or free sketch and stand up stuff.

We don't go for big names, we don't book in advance and we avoid anything billed as Serious, Emotional, Hard Hitting...Thoughtful....or even tragi-comic.

When Mum and I hit Edinburgh Fringe it's always so we laugh 'til our sides hurt.

I wear my Dungarees, so when I go up the Royal Mile to collect leaflets I can put them in the front pouch with some ceremony, so each leaflet touter (very often the performers themselves...due on stage in 15 mins or so!!) feels they have been given due attention and consideration.

We get to somewehere peaceful then hash out a rough itinerary from what caught our eye.

So far it works. Next Year we might mix it up and do gigs by Venue instead.
