Vintage or modern?

I had a school reunion of sorts yesterday meeting with girls I went to school with. We spent the entire day together, going to a play (panto) then for a quick coffee before shopping then out to dinner.

The café was modelled on the 50s or 60s with black and white TVs, flying ducks on the walls and cups and saucers. The clientele were as interested in taking photos as sampling the wares.

Dinner was at one of those joints with stripped back walls, produce in cans on shelves and a range of foods to suit a youthful client.

Which type of restaurant would you prefer?

I suppose it makes a change, which is nice. But comfort, maybe romance and, as Leigh sais, good food. And price.
