Greyhounds

My daughter and her future husband have fostered a greyhound with a view to adopting him. He lived outside in a kennel for six years until he outlived his usefulness as racing dog and yet he is the gentlest, undemanding thing I've seen for a while. My future s-I-l put on the muzzle and leash then stood up but continued a conversation with me for a full five+ minutes. The dog didn't even whimper, just sat there patiently waiting for his time to go to the park.

We have an adopt-a-greyhound program down here. They are very placid animals. Our local old folks home has one and he is a popular "friend".
