VLC 2.2.4

I just got a notice window telling me that there is a newer version of VLC available, 2.2.4 . Is there any reason for me NOT to get it? If it simply increases security, and includes allowing more kinds of files to be viewed, I'm inclined to go for it.

I'll feel more confident if someone at KF tells me they use it, without trouble.

I don't update my iTunes programme because they keep taking away options. But the main concern for you, Scholar, is compatibility with XP. I only use my XP machine if there's something on it that didn't get copied to my laptop.
