W10 Networking

Has there been an update to windoze 10 recently that I don't know about? Two computers have disappeared off my network, well, actually only one. My wife's computer which is wired just does not show at all. No changes by us have been made, it just disappeared. Now my orifice computer shows up but is asking for credentials. The machine is rarely used and I only access files on it over the network. I was only accessing files last night, now the bloody thing has decided that I need to enter my credentials! If this is going to happen every time windoze updates I may need to re-investigate Linux again!

Forgot about them. Got my office machine talking again, but wifey's box has disappeared completely. Stupid thing is, she can see, and access everyone else. Patch Tuesday has struck again, methinks, as lappy just wasted over an hour performing its updates. I'm wondering what it is going to throw at me. Have you noticed that they've modified the start menu, yet again! And re-installed all the crap that I deleted after the last update. Off to check all my settings now. Pity we can't bill M$ for the waste of time all this crap causes. How do corporate Network Support Staff cope? Every time the system is patched, they've got to roll out a whole series of patches to fix the patches!!!!!!!
