Camera advice wanted

I have a birthday coming up and I have been looking at a pair of binoculars with a built-in digital camera.

Has anybody had any experience of this combination of technologies, any comments / info / gratefully received!

Many thanks, the Bear, waveysmiley

No idea, O'Bear. I have a digital SLR with (for now) only one lens. I need to purchase a couple more but, at least I have the flexibility of lenses for appropriate circumstance. I'd ask the question, what is it you are hoping that this combo would do for you? I wonder if you are locking yourself into a tool that, while useful, may be too limiting. Sorta like a a teaspoon trying the empty a bathtub.

Hi Leigh, I have a number of cameras, 2 APS, a couple of really good digital ones and three SLRs with interchangeable lenses ( I have an OM 10 with a range of lenses and converters, my old favorite), so I'm not in need of a camera for anything specific.

Mr's Bear was asking what I'd like for my birthday and I saw the binocular thingy on line; its more of a novelty than a serious piece of kit. I just wondered if any one here had used one.

Thanks anyway, Best regards the Bear. waveysmiley
