Nike Announces Self-Tying Sneakers

Nike Announces Self-Tying Sneakers

The Nike CEO announced this product at a news conference yesterday.

I think that I can safely presume that the entire body of posters on this forum are intensely disappointed that they will not be available until the next holiday season. No price was mentioned. But I also presume that just about everyone on this board are very lavish spenders (as opposed to being lavish tight wads) and will gladly bear the cost.

I must admit that I'm absolutely devastated by the fact that this tech is limited, and an owner will have to walk over to where these shoes are (to put them on) rather than have the shoes come to where the owner is via some app.

If anyone feels that they have to justify the cost of such an item to a significant other, I would suggest that their development heralds a whole new era of handicapped accessible attire, and if ever one should find themselves unable, as an example, to bend to tie one shoes, Voila! problem solved. That's a pretty good rationalization, Right?

Thank you very much Nike??????????

Good Point! Now that you mention it, I vaguely (perhaps erroneously) seem to recall that the article mentioned that they come with a surgical saw. Hmmm!!!
