God o'clock

Research says we feel closer to God first thing in the morning.

Does that fit with your experience?

It would certainly explain the call to prayer pre-dawn in Islam for example.

Not here! I feel closer to God, every time something happens to remind me that he is looking after us. Sometimes it is as simple as getting a small job to earn enough to purchase a bottle of milk on off pay week.

What research?

I would have expected it to vary from one person to another, and to vary by circumstance (e.g., a person who has his devotional time before bed would be in a different situation from one who attends morning mass before work).
