The days of having to own land in the USA to be a full fledged citizen are long gone, legally squashed re that requirement.

I hope you realize that in significant parts of the USA you have to pay ANNUAL property taxes on the land (and in many areas on your vehicle as well). And some areas have a separate school tax [for the public school system] (even if you don't have children). Property taxes are thee most significant revenue source for local governments. And many USA states also still have a country government in additional to the local govt, and of course the state govt.

There are still areas/towns in the USA that are unincorporated; since I have never lived in one, I have no idea what passes for the local govt (if any), tax assessments, etc.,.

If you wish to open up a hotly contested thread, post a question about living in the USA incognito and a surreptitiously acquired social security number (to include what to do with your visa when you arrive).
