I'm not so sure that that is a good thing, time will tell. I'm not against homosexual relationships per-se (it does go against my religious beliefs but if you do not follow my tenets, then you may, or may not, as the case may be, feel the compunction to follow them) but I fail to see how marriage is going to solve the issues when a simple law change in relation to rights of succession, et al, would have had the same effect. What gets on my craw is the homosexual lobby jumping up and down and screaming how "normal" they are, much like a spoilt child carries on when it does not get its own way. If they just got on with life, most people would care less what they got up to in the bedroom.

What is interesting about it is that a Catholic country has voted for equality. This change to the law has been democratically chosen not foisted on the populace. It was a massive turnout and huge majority so it is not a "lobby". The religious beliefs of the church going minority are no longer controlling opinion or law.
