Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

I have been experiencing pain in the sole of my left foot for some weeks now, and came to the conclusion that I have something (a glass fragment, perhaps) embedded in my skin. To attend to it myself, I would have to show great physical flexibility, so I asked Ruby to help me.

I brought her a razor knife and some alcohol, but she asked for a needle to use to dig it out. I brought her a large safety pin.

That turned out to be a mistake!scared_stiff

She stabbed me and squeezed the wound repeatedly. It was very painful! I thought, "How often have I cut myself with a sharp blade without even feeling the cut--and here I am, tortured by a blunt stabbing implement.":(

Finally, Ruby took the knife and cut a large enough opening to remove the offending object. It was over!

Now, I am walking on the wound, which is more painful than before. But, now, I can look forward to it healing.waveysmiley

Providing a pin, which resulted in a more painful method that was not fruitful, was a mistake (compared to proceeding with the razor knife, to which Ruby eventually turned).
