How do I stop annoying website tab background music?

I wanted to enjoy some youtube music, but some other music is playing in the background. I think it is repeating music (a loop) that accompanies a tab in a game-playing site my wife has open.

How do I determine which tab, short of closing each one? Is there a way to shut down just the music from the offending tab, while leaving it up, so I can hear the music I wish to hear from the other tab on the browser? I am using Chrome on Ruby's machine.

There will be a loudspeaker icon on any webpage with repeating sound. Click on it and put the sound back down to zero. Let Ruby know however as part of the appeal of these candy crush type games is the sound effects.

Thank you, MM.

Ruby turns the sound off on the physical device, the old-fashioned volume dial/knob on the amplified speakers, so she isn't even aware if she has several tabs open, each playing its own theme music. When I turn it back up so I can listen to a youtube, I get whatever she has left as well.

When we each go to our own computer, that won't be a problem. However, I've been surprised to hear that she likes my computer better for several of her games, because the slower speed makes it easier for her to keep up.:o
