This is a reminder that even well-established franchise stores may lose money.

California is known for having high taxes and an over-abundance of labor regulations that burden employers (I'm sure all of them are well-intended, but they weigh down businesses.)

Or an employer who keeps all the profits for himself perhaps? The truth will out, no doubt. The owner is still in business in another store allegedly.
