Degree conferred

Quote:

The former US first lady was conferred with a doctor of laws degree in recognition of her achievements as a politician and diplomat.

St Andrews said the award would also mark her work to promote education, human rights, democracy, civil society and opportunities for women around the world.

There is an old polka called the "Beer Barrel Polka" that had a line in it " I don't want her, you can have her shes too fat for me" that applies to my thoughts when it comes to Hillary. The fat part may not be relevant but the rest is.waveysmiley

Hmmmm. What DID she ever achieve as a politician, or as a diplomat?

While she was First Lady, she worked on national health care and tried to get Hillarycare passed, but failed.

She carpet-bagged her way into a Senate seat for New York, and didn't achieve anything much. She was among the Democrats who favored attacking Iraq. Like G. W. Bush, she thought the intelligence reports which held that Saddam had WMDs were correct. (Former President Clinton said Saddam had a nuclear weapons program.)

While she was Secretary of State, her office denied the additional security protection that was requested by the Benghazi embassy. The warnings given in advance of the attack were not heeded. When the attack came, assets that could have been sent to rescue the Americans were not sent. Afterwards, all the efforts of the Obama administration were bent on keeping things covered up as best as possible until after the election.

Well, she didn't get arrested for the illegal false billing for her law firm, or for hiding the records of which she denied the existence (but which were discovered in the Whilte House). The court had required her to turn them in, but she failed to comply. But, these things were not political or diplomatic.

And, she managed to lose the Democrat Presidential nomination to a rival who had never accomplished anything.

What HAS she accomplished? confused2

In view of the Whitewater scandal, I would think St. Andrews would consider her a disgrace.
