Prophecies of Joseph Smith and Mormonism

Some I find of interest are further down in the thread--

Smith prophecied that the Kirtland Safety Society, a bank, would flourish and spread to the ends of the earth. It failed two weeks later.

He said the Nauvoo House (the Nauvoo Temple) would stand forever. It burned down in 1848.

Oh, here's my favorite--I encountered it in my studies when I was working on degrees:

Quote:
The inhabitants of the moon are more of a uniform size than the inhabitants of the earth, being six feet in height. They dress very much like the Quaker style and are quite general in style or fashion of dress. They live to be very old; coming generally near a thousand years. This is the description of them as given by Joseph Smith the Seer. Journal of Oliver B. Huntington, Vol 2, p 166.
